Gearing towards Entrepreneurship

Farm Village Agro. (P) Ltd
Introduction
Farm Village Agro (P) Ltd is a novel name is the field of agro production sector in Nepal, it was established to search the unrealized prospects in agro entrepreneurship and inspire graduates to capitalize in it and is established recently in March 2012 by three young novice entrepreneurs Rajendra Pokhrel, RajanKumar Nyaupane and Nima Palchok who are the recent MBA graduates from a business school; Institute of Banking and Management Studies under BHARATHAIR UNIVERSITY of India. Farm Village Agro, lead by three young graduates is currently operating in Mithinkot VDC-2 Bhakundibasi of Kavre district. The farm is extend in the total area of 16 ropani, out of which 12 ropani is covered by Aloe Vera,  rest of the land is used for the commercial cultivation of seasonal green vegetables and 100 plants of Stevia are grown as an experimentation to study the suitability of land to cultivate Stevia Plants commercially.

As reference to Rajendra, MD cum Operation & Logistics Manager of the company, the farm consists of water well for the irrigation of the land. And also the company has dug up a plastic pond of capacity 20,000 Liter, an informal talk to Mr. Pokhrel in coffee table, he shared that the name Farm Village was thought while digging the water pond by three shareholders and it has a deep association with soil and sweat.
In a short setting with Mr. Rajan Kumar, MD cum Research & Market Development Manager, disclosed that the company has made the marketing agreement with its mother company Palm Agrotech to supply its product (i.e. new aloe vera plants and juicy aloe vera leafs) in short term. But in long term the company will set up its juice manufacturing plant as the production grows in the near future. Referring to the various importance of aloe vera ranging from medical to cosmetics use Mr. Nyaupane the founder president of the company said that they are under research to extract alion and export in the foreign land.
Nima Palchok, MD cum Administration & Finance Manager added that the company was formed under the company act 2063, with the total paid uSp capital of NRs. 9, 00, 000 and this initial investment has been sourced from shareholders in a equal proportion. He also added that the company has a long term-far sighted vision and rigorously looking for potential low interest loan investments, government aids and other encouraging subsidies from the concerned authority.  To make a village of farm by extending aloe vera to 10 more ropanies in the next year with the total plants of 20 thousand, along with a commercial home stay and also to add a live stock farm of goat, pig and poultry.
Nevertheless, there is a strong need of aspiring and exciting actions form the government side in order to promote this type of zeal’s towards the agro entrepreneurship. For this reason government has to frame policy to aid and inspire small and micro entrepreneurship particularly in the agro field because this field is of maximum potential in the context of Nepal. This not only reduces the huge unemployment problem but also prevents the nation from the cancer of brain drain and instead adds to national revenue and employment opportunity.
